Abicon® Max works by forming a raft (thick layer) on top of the stomach contents soon after it comes into contact with stomach acid. The raft acts as a strong physical barrier, helping to keep all the components of the stomach contents in the stomach, where they work, preventing them from seeping back up into the esophagus, where they can cause discomfort.

Treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn, and indigestion (related to reflux), for example, following meals, during pregnancy, or in patients with symptoms related to reflux esophagitis.
