Abicon® Tablet: Each tablet contains Sodium Alginate USP 500 mg and Potassium Bicarbonate BP 100 mg.

Abicon® works by forming a raft (thick layer) on top of the stomach contents soon after it comes into contact with stomach acid. The raft acts as a strong physical barrier and helps keep all the components of the stomach contents in the stomach, preventing them from seeping back into the esophagus where they can cause discomfort.

Treatment of symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn, and indigestion (related to reflux), for example, following meals, during pregnancy, or in patients with symptoms related to reflux esophagitis.

Abicon® Tablet:
Adults & children over 12 years: 1-2 tablets, four times daily, after meals and at bedtime.
Children 6-12 years: 1 tablet, four times daily, after meals and at bedtime.
Contraindications
Sodium Alginate and Potassium Bicarbonate are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to these preparations.

Should be prescribed with caution in patients with renal impairment and congestive cardiac failure.

In addition to the desired effects, some side effects may appear, such as skin rash and difficulties in breathing. In these cases, consult a physician.

Abicon® can be given to pregnant and lactating women.

Use in children and adolescents is recommended upon consultation with a doctor.

If you are taking other medicines concomitantly or have just completed another drug treatment, inform your physician.

Overdose with this formulation is rare. In case of an overdose, please consult a registered physician.

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 ºC in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture.
