Oncology Production Unit

The first floor houses the advanced Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, which are critical in maintaining stringent environmental controls. The second floor features the Oncology Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory, Quality Control (QC) Laboratory, Water Plant, and essential support rooms, such as the Building Management System (BMS) and Stability Chamber. The third floor is dedicated to the Oncology Microbiology Laboratory and a General R&D Laboratory.

HPL’s Oncology Facility operates under strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), certified by several regulatory bodies, including the DGDA, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Bangladesh; the Department of Drug Administration, Nepal; and the Ministry of Public Health and Population, Yemen. Additionally, HPL is actively working towards certifications from EU GMP, ANVISA, and the US FDA, enhancing its compliance and global market reach.

Equipped with the latest pharmaceutical manufacturing technology, the facility is staffed by a highly skilled workforce committed to excellence. HPL employs a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that aligns with global standards such as EudraLex Volume 4 and 21 CFR 210 & 211. This includes components like Deviation Management, Change Control, Quality Risk Management, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), all managed through an efficient digital infrastructure that includes eQMS, DMS, and LMS platforms.

The oncology products are manufactured under rigorous safety protocols, with containment systems that ensure Occupational Exposure Band (OEB) levels 4 and 5. The HVAC systems play a key role in maintaining optimal production conditions, with nine air handling units designed according to a detailed zone plan. These systems include heating systems, return fans, exhaust fans, dehumidifiers, and chillers to guarantee an ideal manufacturing environment.

HPL is also committed to environmental sustainability, featuring water treatment facilities that provide high-purity water for pharmaceutical use, while promoting a clean and safe workspace. The facility incorporates comprehensive fire safety measures, including advanced detection and suppression systems, ensuring the protection of both personnel and assets.

With a focus on innovation and quality, HPL’s Oncology Facility continues to lead in the production of effective oncology treatments, playing a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes globally.
